Month
Forest Salazar is a painter who was born and
raised in Albuquerque, NM. His artistic
foundation was laid early on in learning music, ceramics, and photography before finding a love for painting around 2008- around the same time that he moved to Portland. Self taught, Forest explores themes of duality, the subconscious, "mental-illness," social injustice, and everyday pain and joy through a distinct use of color and abstraction. His work with young children over the last decade has played an important and noticeable role in his artistic style. Orest still lives and paints in Portland, Oregon.
